Azopt Eye Drops
Uses Brinzolamide is used to treat increased pressure in the eye with or without visual problems (glaucoma or intraocular hypertension). How it works Brinzolamide is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. It prevents the build-up of excess fluid in eyeball by slowing the formation of fluid (aqueous humor) within the eye, thereby decreasing eyeball pressure. Dosage
Always follow the instructions of doctor regarding the dosage and duration. Apply one drop twice daily; increased to 3 times daily, if necessary. Common side effects Blurred vision, eye irritation, eye pain, eye discharge, dry and itchy eye, foreign body sensation in the eyes, redness of the eye, swelling and pain of the eyelids (blepharitis), distortion of taste sensation (dysgeusia), headache. Who should not take Patients who are allergic to brinzolamide, sulphonamides, sulphonylureas, or any of its ingredients. Patients with severe kidney dysfunction.
